On Wednesday, September 25th, 2013, a slate of new FINA rules kick in.

The major among these is the fact that for the first time, FINA will be recognizing World Records in mixed medley relays. The race will be on to see who can put up the first sanctioned relays in mixed medleys and stamp their names on the World Record book.

Harrow Swim Club would like to wish our Senior Boys Captain Philip Cohen all the best as he leaves for Bath University in September. Philip has been one of the most loyal, dedicated and inspirational Harrow swimmers competing for the club for over 10 years - attaining British National QT’s, Welsh National Championship records, holder of 16 Short Course and 23 Long Course club records across all disciplines plus countless trophies and medals; the undisputed Champion of the John Lyon ‘sub-60 lane’ and he STILL trains with a kick-board that is older than most of the Junior Level swimmers at the club…! Legend.
Harrow Swimming Club rejoice the achievements of Pavan Marwaha who recently competed at the Welsh Nationals and magnificently won 2 Golds ( 50m Backstroke and 100m Backstroke) and a Silver (200 Backstroke) in her age group.
In the final of the 100m Backstroke she broke the Welsh record coming in at 1.08.46s (an amazing 2 seconds inside the old record!). Out of the seven races she entered, Pavan reached 6 finals, achieving fastest time in the 50 freestyle with a PB of 29.12s.
As I'm sure many of you will have noticed, we haven't issued a new squad timetable for next season but I can assure all parents that the Club will continue to operate in a very similar way to last season albeit with some changes.
