Daniel Andrawos is a highly accomplished Swim England Level 3 Coach and the current Head Coach at the Borough of Harrow Swimming Club. With over a decade of coaching experience, Daniel has become a pivotal figure in the club’s success, nurturing swimmers at all levels and guiding them toward regional and National achievement.
Daniel’s coaching career at the Borough of Harrow Swimming Club began in 2011, where he joined as an assistant coach for the Junior and Senior Squads. His passion for developing young swimmers quickly became evident, and in January 2012, he was entrusted with leading the Development Squad. Over the next four years, Daniel transformed the squad, fostering a culture of hard work, dedication, and technical excellence. Under his guidance, numerous swimmers advanced through the club’s ranks, with many earning places in the Senior Squad and achieving national-level success. Some of his former Development Squad swimmers have gone on to represent the club on the national stage, a testament to Daniel’s ability to identify and cultivate talent from a young age.
In recognition of his exceptional coaching abilities, Daniel was promoted to Assistant Head Coach in 2016. This role allowed him to further refine his coaching strategies, focusing on skill development, race tactics, and athlete management. By 2018, Daniel’s outstanding contributions to the club were acknowledged with his appointment as Head Coach of the Borough of Harrow Swimming Club.
As Head Coach, Daniel has been instrumental in elevating the club’s performance on both regional and national stages. His coaching approach is rooted in a comprehensive, skill-based methodology that emphasizes stroke technique, strength, and endurance. He believes in the holistic development of each swimmer, ensuring that they not only excel in the water but also build mental resilience and confidence. Daniel’s leadership has resulted in multiple swimmers qualifying for the prestigious British Championships and securing medals at Swim England Summer Championships.
In addition to his work with competitive swimmers, Daniel also oversees land training programs designed to complement the swimmers’ in-pool work by focusing on strength, conditioning, and injury prevention. His well-rounded approach to athlete development has led to sustained success for the club, with many of his athletes achieving personal bests and breaking through barriers they never thought possible.
