Harrow Swim School – Terms and Conditions
General Overview
The Borough of Harrow Swimming Club runs Harrow Swim School, offering swimming lessons on Monday, Wednesday, Friday evenings, and Saturday mornings.
Our Swim School caters to swimmers from 4.5 years old to adults, with small class sizes to ensure individual attention and consistent progress for each student. Lessons accommodate all ability levels, from non-swimmers to those looking to build confidence and competence in the water.
We follow the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme, which provides a structured and enjoyable learning environment. Our dedicated Swim School team ensures your child is in the right group and provides assessment reports at the end of each term.
Please read and understand the following terms and conditions before enrolling in swimming lessons.
Booking Process
- Payment must be made within 24 hours of booking. By enrolling, you agree to these terms and conditions. Failure to make payment by the deadline will result in the cancellation of your booking.
- Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
Payments
- Payments are made term by term. We do not offer monthly or per-lesson payment options.
- Full term payment is required to secure your child’s place in the swim program.
- No refunds will be given for missed lessons, regardless of the reason, as our teachers are contracted for the full term.
How to Join
- New swimmers can register their interest via our contact form. Please provide any relevant information in the “swimming experience” box.
- Completing the contact form does not automatically enrol you in classes. We will contact you to discuss your booking.
Rebooking and Cancellations
- Current swimmers can re-register for the next term during the priority booking window by logging into their Club Organiser account (www.cluborganiser.co.uk).
- If payment is not received by the end of the priority window, your space will be offered to another swimmer.

- No credits will be given for common illnesses such as colds, flu, or stomach upsets.
Missed or Cancelled Lessons
- Missed lessons are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
- In the event that Harrow Swimming Club cancels a lesson, we will attempt to provide an alternative date. If you cannot attend, no refund or credit will be provided.
- If no alternative date is offered, a credit toward the next term will be issued.
Lesson Structure
- Beginner and improver classes have a maximum of 7 swimmers per teacher, while deep-end and lengths classes have a maximum of 10 swimmers per teacher.
- Teachers in stage 1 work in the water, supporting and guiding swimmers to develop proper techniques.
Assessments

- We cannot guarantee the same time or day for classes if a child progresses mid-term. Class availability will dictate placement.
- Upon completion of Stage 7, swimmers are invited to join our pre-squad, with the option to move into our competitive squads based on potential and enthusiasm.
