SE London Summer Championships 2025 β Second Weekend Coaching Report
Dates: Saturday 3 May, Sunday 4 May & Monday 5th May 2025
Venue: London Aquatics Centre, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford
The second weekend of the SE London Summer Championships 2025 continued the momentum from the opening weekend with strong performances, technical growth, and another round of medal-winning swims. The swimmers represented the club with pride, resilience, and determination in what was a demanding and competitive atmosphere.
We were proud to have the following swimmers competing this weekend:

Every swimmer gave their best effort across their races, many achieving personal improvements, while others continued to gain crucial experience on the regional stage.
Weekend Highlights
- π₯ Mia Garner added to her medal collection with a stunning Gold in the Girls 200m Backstroke, controlling the race from start to finish with confidence and smooth technique.
- π₯ Mia also secured Silver in the Girls 200m Breaststroke, showing great versatility and determination across strokes.
- π― Cosmin Ioan Bostan once again reached a regional final β this time in the Boys 100m Breaststroke, racing with maturity and strong technical execution.
- πββοΈ Dragos Musteate, Petros Soteriou, Gert Zeqiri, Alex Drdol, Alice Sharrock, and Louis Waissman all gave committed and competitive performances, demonstrating continued development and race confidence.
The group displayed excellent camaraderie and professionalism throughout the weekend. From warm-ups to post-race reflections, swimmers supported one another and stayed focused creating a positive team culture that clearly reflected in their performances.
Another outstanding weekend for the club at Regionals! Special congratulations to Mia Garner for two more medals β Gold in the 200m Backstroke and Silver in the 200m Breaststroke β and to Cosmin for reaching his second final of the meet in the 100m Breaststroke. All swimmers showed growth and commitment, and the coaching team is proud of the progress made. Letβs keep building on this momentum!
