Following the two weekends of the SE London Summer Championships 2026, I wanted to share a summary of the squad’s performances.
Overall, this has been a highly successful competition period for the club. Across both weekends, we recorded a strong number of personal best performances, with swimmers consistently stepping up and delivering under pressure.
We also saw several medal-winning swims and the achievement of national qualifying times. These are significant milestones and reflect the quality, consistency, and commitment shown throughout the season.
From a coaching perspective, the most encouraging aspect was not just the results themselves, but the way in which they were achieved:
- Clear improvements in race execution
- More effective pacing and control across events
- Composed performances in high-pressure environments
- Noticeable technical progress in key areas such as turns, breakouts, and finishes
These are all core areas we have been targeting in training, and it is very positive to see this work transferring into competition.
For swimmers who did not achieve personal bests or qualification standards on this occasion, there are still many valuable takeaways:
- Important race experience at a high-level meet
- Exposure to a competitive championship environment
- Clear performance indicators to guide future training focus
This competition provides a strong platform as we move into the next phase of the season. We now have a clear direction on the areas that need refining as we prepare for upcoming meets and national-level competitions.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support across both weekends—it plays an important role in the swimmers’ performances and overall experience.
If you have any questions regarding performances or next steps, please feel free to get in touch.
We look forward to seeing everyone back in training.
Best regards,
Daniel Andrawos
